Why take part in ‘L'Atelier du Futur Papa’?

Becoming a father is an adventure as beautiful as it is intimidating. Between well-intentioned advice, contradictory injunctions and natural anxieties, many men feel unprepared for the arrival of their child. This is precisely why ‘L'Atelier du Futur Papa’ was created: a caring, practical and non-judgemental space where fathers-to-be can prepare for their new life:

A time to ask yourself the right questions

In the whirlwind of preparations for childbirth, dads often have little time to think about their future role. This workshop is a chance to take a break and talk about the essential issues: how to support your partner during childbirth, baby's first care, sleep, crying, the father's place in parenthood, etc.

Learning everyday gestures with baby

Changing a nappy, giving a bath, calming a crying baby, carrying your baby safely: these are all things you can learn. The workshop gives you the opportunity to discover and practise these skills, in a reassuring, pressure-free environment. Being at ease with these gestures not only strengthens the bond with the child, but also helps to share the parenting load fairly.

De-dramatize and gain confidence

"The Future Dad’s Workshop" is also an opportunity to deconstruct certain clichés: no, you are not born dad, you become it. Thanks to exchanges, situations and concrete advice, participants leave reassured, better prepared and above all confident in their ability to take care of their child.

Create connection between dads

Participating in a workshop also means meeting other men who are experiencing the same thing. We share his questions, his worries, sometimes his clumsiness, in a friendly atmosphere. This network of future fathers often becomes a valuable support long after birth.

Maintaining the balance of the couple and family

The arrival of a child upsets the landmarks. Learning to better understand the needs of the baby, but also those of the partner, helps maintain communication and harmony within the couple. By getting actively involved, the future dad helps create a balanced family unit where everyone has their place – and their space.

"The Future Dad’s Workshop" is not about making perfect dads, but fathers who are present, informed and serene. Because yes, learning to be a dad is learned – and it starts here.
